Parallax Pro is the very first Genesis child theme that supports parallax scrolling. Just like most StudioPress releases, Parallax Pro is a true work of art.
Built on the rock-solid Genesis framework, any website that runs Parallax Pro is in good hands with optimized code that gets better search engine rankings and lightning-fast page load speeds. The theme comes in five different pre-made color styles — blue, green, orange, pink and red (view each in the preview) — all of which have the trademark StudioPress emphasis on big and bold typography.
Parallax Pro features multiple page layouts and 5 pre-made page types, plus plenty of under-the-hood functionality. With a price tag just shy of three figures, though, the responsive theme is a sizeable investment, but you certainly get what you pay for.
Parallax is a stunning single page theme with a beautiful design, lovely animations and a whole lot of features.
The theme comes with an elegant scrolling effect, multiple custom post types, a custom header for each page you create and more. Layouts are easy to customize with the custom columns shortcode. You can also create dividers, quotes, Google Maps, sliders, boxes and buttons with the shortcodes. An infinite scroll option allows you to load an infinite number of posts in your blog feed. Parallax features an expandable portfolio, and you can even showcase multiple images per portfolio item.
Themify’s drag ‘n’ drop builder makes building your home page a breeze with Parallax. 6 custom widgets are available to display your Twitter feed, Flickr photo stream, featured posts, recent comments, list pages and categories. Over 600 Google Fonts and custom social icons are integrated with the theme. Like ThemeTrust, Themify is also running a buy-1-get-1-free promotion for all their themes, so snag Parallax now!
Port is a sleek and stylish parallax-enabled theme with a beautiful minimal look.
Port has quirky navigation — the menu only displays when you click the menu icon on the top right corner of the screen. When you do that, the menu slides out from the right. Besides an unlimited number of menu items, you can also include any number of widgets just beneath the menu items.
ThemeTrust packages Port with several custom widgets, a filterable portfolio and an advanced theme options panel. Buttons, testimonials and columns are just a few functions produced by Port’s many shortcodes. Hundreds of Google Fonts come integrated with the theme.
Port also flaunts 3 pre-made page templates, video support, and more. With the buy-1-get-1-free deal thrown in by ThemeTrust, you can’t go wrong with Port.
Zoo is an incredible parallax theme with a handsome, unique look.
Zoo comes in two different versions — standard and minimal, both of which can be viewed in the demo. The standard demo’s home page header is a thing of beauty and the parallax effect is mind-numbingly cool. Within each home page section, you can use tabs to display different post types. Don’t think that parallax is the only animation Zoo comes with, because the theme has a built-in animation generator that lets you use virtually any animation you can think of for each section.
Progress bars, a full-screen expandable & filterable portfolio, an unbranded theme options panel and much more feature in the responsive, retina-ready theme. Zoo really goes overboard with typography as well, with over 1,000 Google Fonts integrated. The developers consistently update it with new features as well.
Zerif Pro markets itself as a “stunning, responsive One Page WordPress theme excellent for Creative Agencies.” But does that claim stand up to scrutiny?
First impressions would suggest that Zerif Pro’s boasts are not entirely unfounded. While I might not go so far as to call it “stunning”, this theme is certainly attractive; characterized by flat styling, bold colors and unassuming fonts. Each section of the homepage has clearly been carefully thought out, and they all blend together nicely. One could certainly see a creative agency making this theme part of their home on the web.
Aesthetics aside, this theme benefits from a number of functional features, including an excellent theme options panel, WooCommerce compatibility, contact form integration and a number of custom widgets. Zerif Pro is definitely a shortlist contender.
Eight Degree is a stunning parallax theme with beautiful typography and a memorable design.
Big, bold header typography and slim, complementary paragraph typography come together in a symphony of white space. The parallax slider is quite unique — the background image of each slide does not move, but the slide text does. Also built-in are a testimonial slider, a clients slider, and Flex Slider. A ton of animations keep the scrolling interesting.
3 navigation styles, 9 page heading styles, 48 font icons, and 99 Google Fonts are four notable numbers of this theme. The portfolio included is both filterable and expandable, making Eight Degree a perfect fit for photographers, freelancers, and corporate businesses alike.
Altitude Pro is a highly polished parallax theme that produces stunning websites straight out of the box. All you have to do is supply the background images, or simply use the demo offering.
The theme is offered at the higher end of the scale, costing $99.95 for the theme and framework. However, the cost is justifiable when you note the finer details. These include elegant typography, subtle animations and dimming background images, which help to guide the eye to the next section.
Altitude Pro is a Modern Genesis 2.0 child theme, which means it comes with HTML5 markup, mobile responsiveness, a high security specification and support from StudioPress. This is alongside the usual personalization options you’d expect from a premium theme, such as color styles, custom backgrounds, theme customizer functionality and theme options.
While it may be a pricier option, Altitude Pro is perfect if you are looking for a theme that will really “wow” visitors with very little effort required.
Make is the perfect corporate theme with a full, responsive design built on the Bootstrap framework.
Over 20 shortcodes are included in Make’s shortcode generator that do everything from call-out boxes to diagrams to slogans to pricing tables. The theme comes with two sliders: Revolution Slider (normally $15) and Layer Slider (also normally $15). You get 400+ Font Awesome icons free and a choice of over 700 Google Fonts.
An Ajax-powered filterable and expandable portfolio and a stylized contact form are included. Easily customized, Make is a parallax theme definitely worth a second look.
Relevance is a beautiful, contemporary theme designed to be multi-purpose. If you have a product or service that you’re rolling out and want to focus on, this theme would make for an excellent landing page or microsite. It’s also fantastic for agencies – startups in particular – in the creative design, web development, public relations or fashion industries.
Relevance uses parallax scrolling intelligently – most of the content blocks in the demo have it, but it isn’t too overwhelming. Its design is bright and trendy, but makes great use of white space and a small enough color palette to look professional. For easy customization, the included Visual Page Builder plugin gives you access to a plethora of color options, dozens of shortcodes and a variety of page layouts.
This theme doesn’t have a lot of extra trappings, but that is perfect when all you need is something simple. The features it does have are pretty standard; cross-browser compatibility, responsiveness, and translation readiness, along with included demo content to make it easy to get up and running right away while being accessible to any user.
Simple, fashionable, professional – that is how Relevance treats your content.
Vertex is a sleek, minimal theme from Elegant Themes.
Through several pre-made skins and Elegant Themes’ own intuitive ePanel, Vertex is easily customized. You also get 8 page templates: default, blog, contact, full width, gallery, login, search, and sitemap. Images and portfolio items are lazy load, allowing any Vertex-manned website to score high with a speed page load time. The portfolio, however, is neither expandable nor filterable.
Elegant Themes has a unique slider: the image, text, and call-to-action button load one after the other, resulting in an intriguing experience for front end users. Another cool feature: the testimonials section. Users can hover over a client’s photo to see an elegantly formatted testimonial in a blockquote. Numerous shortcodes take care of content boxes, different types of buttons, toggles, tabs, social sharing icons and more.
With Elegant Themes, you pay $69 for access to their entire library of 87 themes, which works out to less than a dollar per theme! If you’re a parallax designer on a budget, you definitely want to check Vertex out.
Baylie is another sleek parallax-enabled WordPress theme from ThemeTrust, with much the same features as Port.
You get a responsive layout, numerous shortcodes, several custom widgets, easy translations through WPML, and more. Integrated Google Fonts, lifetime support, and a filterable portfolio also feature.
With surprisingly beautiful typography, Baylie creates beautiful imagery established through big and bold pictures that take up most of the full width theme’s pixels. The buy-1-get-1-fee promotion also applies to this theme.
Pheno is creative one page theme with several unique traits.
For one, you get two pre-made skins viewable in the demo – the first with a portfolio header and another with an image header. Both are equally stunning. Pheno has a smooth parallax scrolling effect, and several animation rollover effects to keep your front end users engaged. Images and each post types can slide in as visitors scroll down the page. Counters are displayed with a quirky pictograph that fills in as the user continues scrolling.
The backgrounds of each separate section can even be alternated. Pheno has an incredible amount of shortcodes, one of the most impressive being the ability to create animated charts. You also get rotating testimonials, a company timeline, a filterable portfolio, mailing list opt-in boxes, custom social icons, Ajax-loaded blog posts, a jQuery contact form and more with shortcodes. The theme is also incredibly fast. Pheno’s exclusive Content Designer makes creating a page ever so simple. It’s an excellent choice at a very affordable price tag.

The responsive theme comes with a fullscreen slider, an advanced gallery, and styling for WooCommerce. Four different types of demos can be imported with a single click. Story comes with its own little content creator that allows you to easily craft multiple types of content in a post/page with a visual builder.
Scroller is an advanced single page theme with a minimal design and loads of features.
Scroller comes in two unique layouts, both equally stunning. It has a smooth scroll with a neat parallax effect combined with numerous rollover effects for each page type. Besides that, you get 57 fonts built-in, color pickers to build custom skins, a responsive layout, 7 custom post types and many pre-defined templates for your portfolio and home page. You get custom widgets that do things like 300px and 125px ads, recent comments, Twitter feeds and more.
Z-1 Minimal is an elegant single page parallax theme with lots of customization options.
The theme’s typography fits perfectly with the minimal style of design. 3 home page header options — video, slider, and static image — allow you to style the design as you see fit. 500+ Google Fonts and 400+ Font Awesome icons are available for use along with 5 post formats and 6 different icon and image boxes to display services.
The portfolio is both filterable and expandable. Two buttons — one that expands the portfolio item and one that takes you to another URL — are displayed when you roll your mouse over a portfolio item. A visual shortcode editor is built into the theme. The only real deficit in Z-1 minimal is perhaps the speed at which the text slides when you scroll down the page — the animations are a bit late at times.
Swag has swag. There’s just no other way to put it.
8 different header styles (preview them in the demo), 4 sliders (Revolution 3.0, Camera, Background, and BxSlider) and custom widgets for Twitter, Facebook and Instagram feeds feature in Swag. You also get 3 blog layouts, retina-ready Font-Face icons and even custom layouts for WooCommerce if you plan to integrate it.
Besides that, Swag comes with rotating testimonials, pricing tables, a filterable portfolio and an array of functions courtesy the shortcode editor. The theme also has over 200 background patterns, Google Fonts, a stylized contact form and (of course) tons of swag.
Surreal truly is a unique theme “with a surreal twist.”

It’s got looks and speed too (the standard for all PixelEntity themes),with lazy loaded images and minified CSS. You get a filterable & expandable portfolio with lightbox previews, an Ajax contact form, a brandable theme options panel and more.
Montreal is a modern WordPress theme with creative effects, stunning typography, and abundant white space.
Featured on CSS Awards, Montreal has a number of neat rollover animations; the “team” section, for example. When a user hovers his mouse over the the team member’s picture, the image grays out to reveal hyperlinks to the member’s social profiles.
You also get filterable portfolios (6 different predefined layouts included), self-hosted video, diverse shortcodes, PrettyPhoto integration and Flex Slider.
Szia is an elegant single page parallax portfolio theme with multiple animations and unique design characteristics.
Szia comes with a built-in loader set in the middle of the screen as the demo loads (which unfortunately, seems to take quite some time). The slider is innovatively designed, with alternating shadows and light to highlight the slider text and call to action button. The “team members” section comes with social profile icons for each team member. The services page is quite unique — not only do you get a neat spinning animation effect when you hover your mouse over a “services” icon, but the title text of each service is positioned diagonally.
The portfolio is not filterable or expandable. A contact form, multiple shortcodes, a timeline, and other features are built into Szia.
Jkreativ is a nifty parallax theme with a creative design and superb animation effects.
Jkreativ’s parallax scrolling is really something else — the scrolling is fluid and smooth as the images and background slowly slide by. The theme takes advantage of a minimalistic layout that relies on a solid amount of white space.
The theme has a good amount of functionality as well. It boasts several portfolio layout options, WooCommerce stylization, Slider Revolution, and the 360 degree image slider. 3 types of page loaders also help to keep your visitors engaged.
Mercurial is a beautiful parallax-enabled theme with great typography.
The demo has a unique effect that displays a counter that shows you what percentage of the theme has loaded — while it loads, the background is solid white.
Mercurial’s scrolling is incredibly fluid — the backgrounds just float by. On your “team” page each team member gets custom social icons. Back end users get lots of theme options, 17 shortcodes, a filterable & expandable portfolio and a stylized contact form.
It’s a great theme with an eye-catching design.
TRINITY is an elegant parallax theme with nifty capabilities built on Bootstrap 3.
When you view the demo, the first thing you notice is that there are 10 different previews for you to examine, which just goes to show how much time has been invested into the theme. The second thing you see is the page loader, which is a lot like the new YouTube loading bar that appears on the top of the page. The design is just about flawless with ample white space, slim typography, and 50+ scrolling animations.
7 home page layouts are built into TRINITY. Visual Composer and multiple fullscreen image sliders are available for use. The filterable, expandable portfolio is ably supported by solid code. Multiple videos and in-depth documentation help you to kick-off configuration of the theme.
Ness is a wonderfully minimal retina-ready parallax theme with a very distinctive design.
Unlike traditional single page themes, Ness has many unique things about it. One of them is the fact that the navigation only displays once you click on the sticky menu icon, and that too only on the side of the theme, off-canvas. The images are quite large, and very little text is incorporated into the demo.
Even so, if you’re looking for a memorable appearance, Ness is the way to go. It also comes with advertising options, 5 post types, author boxes, custom social media icons, and more.
Morpheus is a smooth parallax theme with lightweight functionality.
The theme carries a very appropriate name. Indeed, thanks to the neat parallax scrolling effects, different sections of the home page seem to morph into each other as you go down the page. The design relies on big, dark typography and isn’t afraid of using bold images.
On the features side, Morpheus is quite slim. It has a few shortcodes and 5 content demos built in, along with Flex Slider and Layer Slider. A contact form, Font Awesome, and social media integration are also included.

It’s hard to describe all the animation effects you get. Unique progress bars, portfolio and gallery images that slide into view as a user scrolls (a feature that can be toggled on and off), interactive charts, animated service sections, etc. all figure in the theme options. The advanced admin panel is simple to navigate. Plus, you get the $15 Revolution Slider free of charge. In terms of design, Jarvis looks fantastic. It offers more than a dozen homepage design variations, so what you see above does not get close to demonstrating its versatility.
In terms of features, Jarvis has been around long enough to build up an impressive depth of functionality. Beyond all the usual things you would expect, Jarvis is WPML ready and WPMU ready, offers child theme and right-to-left support, and much more. Chances are that you will struggle to find a need that Jarvis can’t address.
In short, your search for the right theme may have ended.
