DirectoryEngine

DirectoryEngine-wordpress-theme

DirectoryEngine is an impressive directory theme from the EngineThemes team that follows in the footsteps of their other purpose-built app themes.

As with other app themes from EngineThemes, a lot of effort has been put into making it as easy as possible to setup your website. The integrated quick start walkthrough guide will have your site up and running in no time at all, allowing you to get a good overview of the different features and settings before you start adding content.

To allow you to build your own custom page layouts which are tailored to your preferences and those of your community, the theme makes use of modular content blocks which can be dragged and dropped into place. These blocks include content modules such as featured places, hot and latest places, reviews, services, testimonials, reviews, and categories. The modules can also be added to any of the sidebar areas as widgets, giving you lots of flexibility for building your home and internal page layouts.

For end users, submitting a listing to your directory is very straightforward thanks to the front end submissions forms. The whole process is seamlessly integrated with the rest of your website and doesn’t even require any additional page loads thanks to the use of Ajax in their construction.

Each place that is added to the directory gets its own page which can be used to showcase that listing. These individual pages can include maps, large photos, and videos, as well as all the relevant details about the business.

When it comes to browsing the site, this directory theme for WordPress makes it very easy for visitors to view the listings, with related listings being continually displayed without any page reloads for a smooth user experience.

The listings can be browsed by exploring the map, searching the directory, or filtering them using the categories. By using the location fields, users can filter results within a certain radius to find a business that is nearby. Users can also add listings to their favourites for quick access on return visits to your site.

DirectoryEngine is also mobile friendly thanks to its responsive design. This ensures that those looking for a business or place of interest can just as easily make use of your directory, no matter whether they are at home, work, or on the go.

To sum up, DirectoryEngine makes it easy to create your own page layouts thanks to its drag and drop modular content blocks, and comes with all the other features you would expect from a modern directory theme, including a great looking design.

Listable is ideal for both local and global directory websites. So if you are in the process of building a listings website with WordPress then this could be the theme for you.

Whether you want to build a community website to highlight the local attractions in your area, or you’d rather create an income generating commercial directory site, this theme gives you the option. If you do create multiple pricing plans, Listable will auto-generate a pricing table to make it easy for your visitors to compare the different options available to them.

Depending on how you configure this theme, your directory could feature a search form on the homepage that makes it easy for your visitors to search your listings as soon as they arrive. When it comes to adding the listings to your directory, you as the site owner or administrator can add them via both the back-end or through the front-end forms. Your registered users on the hand can only add their content through the custom built front-end submission forms.

One particularly nice feature of Listable is that additional functionality is made available via plugins, rather than automatically being bundled into the theme. DirectoryS

directorys-listing-wordpress-theme

DirectoryS makes it very easy to list all of your directory entries on your home page, complete with an interactive Google Map.

Depending on how you configure this theme, each listing in your directory can have its own custom marker that is displayed on the map. Now your visitors can zoom in, scroll around, and find businesses in the area they are most interested in, all through the familiar interface of the Google Maps service.

The DirectoryS theme makes it easy to categorize your listings on the map, simply by assigning them a custom icon or map marker. This then makes it easier for your visitors to find exactly what they are looking for at a glance. As well as the bespoke map icon, each custom marker also includes a brief description about the entity being covered in the listing. You can also add a link that will take the visitor to the full listings page on your website, for more information.

The individual listings page for DirectoryS includes all the essential information about the business or attraction, as well as the ability to accept user generated content in the form of reviews. This feature can really help you build a community around your directory website.

When it comes to letting your visitors submit their listings and user feedback, the theme adds a full set of front end submissions forms to your site. This removes the need for your visitors to negotiate the admin pages of WordPress, helping to simplify the whole process of publishing a listing.

To help you get up and running as quickly as possible, the developers of this theme have published a series of documentation videos that will walk you through the entire process. You also get access to the Visual Composer plugin to help you customize your website and make it your own.

GeoDirectory

geodirectory-wordpress-directory-plugin

GeoDirectory is a bit different from the other WordPress directory solutions listed here. This is due to the fact that the directory features are available as a plugin, rather than integrated into the theme.

This means you can use any theme you like to build your directory listings website, but still get access to all the great features that are included in most of these themes. However, if you are looking for a suitable theme for your site, then there is also a GeoDirectory theme which is an ideal partner for this plugin.

Following the lead of popular eCommerce WordPress plugin WooCommerce, the core version of the GeoDirectory plugin is free, with the optional individual extensions available separately.

This means you can get your WordPress directory website up and running for free, and then add in the additional premium features as and when you need them. By taking this approach, you only pay for the features you need, as your site grows.  However, the current list of available extensions can be purchased in one package at a discounted rate.

The features available include all you would expect from a directory solution including multiple payment plans, claimable listings, event listings, multiple locations, and much more.

Whether you are looking for an all-in-one solution, or already have a theme in mind for your website, then the GeoDirectory plugin and optional theme are a great choice.

  1. I’ve used both GeoPlaces, Vantage, Directory and GeoTheme and the last one for as ugly as it looks the default design (good enough for my site), it is the only one that allows to create a portal based on wider areas rather than cities.

With Vantage you can only manage 1 location. With GeoPlaces you can manage multi city, with new Directory from Templatic it’s easier to add locations, but still you can’t browse all UK’s listings or all of Ireland listings, you can still only browse by city.

While with GeoTheme I can browse all Uk listing, all Wales listings and all Cardiff Listings…. and that for me is what a regional directory is all about…

  2. Great list of directory themes – I am working on a project for my local community, and this list gave me lots of great ideas, and will save me a lot of time!

  3. Geotheme is one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a directory theme. They have been mentioning updates to version 4 for over a year, never did finish a Android app, give really snotty comments when you ask a support forum question, and not very compatible with WPML translations plugin. Not a happy customer here.

  4. Vantage, from AppThemes, is HORRIBLE. Who creates a directory theme without recurring payments?! They recently said it would be included in their next release (December 2013) and guess what? NOTHING. The support is horrible and the theme itself is filled with background php errors.

Thanks to your list, it looks like I may give Directory by templatic a chance. It’s a shame that these developers lack communication. If someone would actually create a legit directory theme for WordPress, then they’d make a lot of money while making users extremely happy.

    1. Recurring payments in Vantage have been released…December wasn’t over with. And if it is so easy to make a directory theme with no errors, you can always make it yourself…or pay a developer on your own instead of only $99 or less.

      1. “And if it is so easy to make a directory theme with no errors, you can always make it yourself…”

You sound like this task is not accomplished with a little work. Coding any theme these days is not any more difficult then cooking a pasta dish in an urban center food chain. Furthermore, you can not code a theme without errors anymore. That is why support for themes is so important now. Just because the theme is error less today, does not reflect what might come tomorrow. Stop being so astute regarding someones opinion, especially if you are the developer, learn to handle constructive criticism and communicate with your users. It is only them you serve, not yourself.

I agree, vantage is still lacking many modern day options that other releases have owned. I also have used the premium press entourage and although I use shopper press, I can not handle the directory press. It is too congested.

        1. I didn’t say I was the developer – I’m not. I simply reminded him (John) that he has the option to create the theme as he sees fit, especially since it is so easy as you state. I honestly do not know how difficult or easy it is – I’m not complaining and it’s not my concern. My job as an entrepreneur is to focus on what does work, rather than what doesn’t. Life and business are a lot more enjoyable that way. Anyways, I refer to this list often and am glad it was put together.

          1. “My job as an entrepreneur is to focus on what does work, rather than what doesn’t. Life and business are a lot more enjoyable that way.”

Very well said! Good on you Ryan, and nice post by athemes.

            – Question – Are these in any order of preference?

  5. I’m trying to build a listing website via wordpress with the following features:
    1. Home Page:
    A. A YouTube video that automatically plays
    B. A clickable US map and a “Find Nearest Location” box that visitors can type in their address and find nearby company locations
    C. On the home page, we would probably want some text and a few basic links (ex. contact us, terms of service, etc.)
    2. Company Registration Page:
    A. Companies enter their details in a registration form, click a box agreeing to certain terms and conditions, and pay a fee via credit card.
    B. The company details provided in the registration form are then automatically inserted as a location a visitor can find using the “Find Nearest Location” box on the homepage for a set period of time (ex. 6 months).
    C. The company receives a confirmation email with all of the details.
    3. Admin Page:
    A. Manage companies registration (add/edit/delete companies)
    B. A way to keep track of companies registration and payment history
Which theme would work best? Thanks

      1. LOL, I think that is exactly what he is doing research. And its never a bad idea to get others opinions. In fact its an awesome idea to get others opinions.

    1. Sharif, the Glocal theme with WP Bakery Visual Composer included will probably meet most of your needs. Support isn’t too great but you could easily get by with this theme, it has many features. If you were to add the Visual Composer Ulitmate Addons to the list for purchase then that adds even more flexibility for page design. I would recommend this theme having worked with it and spending a lot of time researching the others on the market. For now i think that Glocal is the best out there. Also check out the themeforest directory competition that took place earlier this year.

  6. This list basically proves a point I keep making. None of these themes does everything right. It’s as if there’s some law that says you can only deliver 80% of what someone actually needs and wants. The other 205 is up to them to figure out.

    Here are some examples….

    — Only using Paypal as the payment gateway
    — Charging extra for functionality to drive up the cost
    — Only single location search
    — Limited layout styling or non-responsive
    — Generally ugly layout
    –….. you get the point.

    1. Well,”only deliver 80% of what someone actually needs and wants” is a very subjective statement. If you know what you want, hire a developer and pay some thousand to get what you want, to modify one of these themes, or build it yourself. Just complaining on a forum how you know best, but offer no solution is unproductive.

  7. I kinda agree with Gerald
I would go with ‘Directory theme’ as i love the great geolocation (you can click to see where you are on your phone in relation to the listings).. but it doesnt have Foursquare integration (by plugin) like GeoThemes, and it doesn’t allow packages for claimed listings (basically i want a business to make small payment to claim and edit their listing). It also doesn’t have events.. etc etc

And geothemes looks crappy, and everyone complains about support.

  8. I would check out GLOCAL on themeforest, they have stunning suport…
nice modern looking design…and constant updates..
works great..for me since I am building a portal in a South American Country.
of course their are always people complaining about something but thats why WP themes are a great deal…and of course they are build to fit most needs , but not every bodys

    1. Hi Sean,

We’ve got our hands on a copy of Directory by Templatic and are working on a review as we speak. It should be ready this week. We’ll see if we can get one done for ait’s theme as well. 🙂

      1. My experience with Directory by Templatic was dreadful.. (unlike other users though, I did experience fairly decent / responsive support) but never before have I had to edit so many core template files to do the simplest of set up tasks. Their reliance on plugins (which is where most of the editing / tweaking was required) meant you could never peacefully upgrade – you can’t create child themes of plugins – so to carry out any theme upgrade means you have to keep a copy / note of all the plugin files you’ve customised in some way (in my case was over 30 files!).

I really don’t like to spread negativity but I do feel I purchased a product that severely under delivered on the promise and I will never invest in a Templatic product again.

        1. Steve,

I am not a programmer, so can you please explain how the Templatic Directory theme could have been better for customisation purposes?

          Thanks.

          1. I worked with Templatic Directory theme for 6 months only to find that so many core template files needed tweaking by my team. So many plug-ins that were advertised with it, did not work so eventually I gave the owners/developers a list of everything that was wrong with it. They gave me a full refund in the end.

        2. Steve, more than a year later now I read and totally agree with your post. Have you found a good replacement / solution or still battling putting Templatic Directory back together after EVERY WP update?

    1. All that means though Terry is that the owner took the site down or moved it to another domain, for whatever reason (didn’t have time to run it, lost interest, lack of funds, etc). Doesn’t say anything (positive or negative) about the theme.

  9. Hi,

I’m looking for a theme that can showcase different types off activities that can be done in my area. I would like business to be able to join and add / edit their own content. The content would include some text, photo’s and a reviews section. Maps would also be great in order to let business show their location. Can you recommend a theme that might work best for my needs? I don’t want the theme to be too busy as I think it can be confusing for the customer.

Many thanks for your time and help,
    Ben

    1. Hi Ben,

I’m pretty sure the Directory theme from Templatic can do all you want. The only potential issue it is that the listings in Directory are organised by city (out of the box) so it would depend on how wide the area is you want to cover and whether dividing up by city would be ok with your plans?

You can read our full review of Directory here:
      https://athemes.com/reviews/review-directory-theme-templatic/

There is also a demo site you can use to test out how the backend works.

If you have any more questions just let me know.

      Joe

      1. Hi Joe,

many thanks for the reply. I was hoping the customer could enter their postcode on sign-up and this would add their location to google maps.

        Kind regards,
        Ben

      2. Hi agin,

I was just thinking about what you said. These events that I’m creating will most likely be out in the sticks so I need a theme that can pin point businesses locations by post code (area code). Is this possible with this Theme or do you know of any others?

        Many thanks,
        Ben

  10. I’m surprized that none of these themes seem to have buttons or symbols available for each listning. Its natural when you create a Directory that you can add buttons or symbols. Sertifications, awards or just classification.

  11. Hi,
What I have noticed looking at most of these sites specially Templatic they listings are all categorized by listings and the search feature also works based on city names. I did not find any of them use zip codes and zip code search by distance as I think this would be more useful and users looking for. Is there a way (plugin or something) to add zip code search to Directory theme by Templatic for example?

    Sean

  12. Directory looks like the supreme choice. What makes me hesitant to “Buy It Now” is the fact that Events is a premium add-on, as well as the option to monetize specific fields…totaling the same price of the theme itself. These are great functionalities, but the option to include them is a double on the cost. That’s not very attractive to me. However, it could be worth it to someone.

  13. The Makers of GeoTheme just released a free basic plugin. From the looks of it they have included all the basic features of Directory for free. http://wpgeodirectory.com/

I am not affiliated with them. I happen to be working on a directory project and came across this in my research.

      1. Excellent! A follow up post here with a link would be great.

My gut is saying that this will be the WooCommerce of directory plugins but time will tell. I look forward to hearing if you agree.

  14. Thank you so much for this post! I am the owner of a city guide that uses Joomla as CMS. A year ago I had to make the decision between Joomla and WordPress and because of the lack of nice city-guide themes for WordPress I decided to go with Joomla. Big mistake. I am having a hardtime trying to maintain my own website and it load very slow (bad coding I suppose). On top of all that: my website got hacked today. I’m completely fed up with Joomla and I’m craving to switch to WordPress, hence I was trying to find a good City Guide theme. I would like to thank you for this awesome post, gave me some great ideas. I would like to add another theme that I came across. It is not really a directory theme (and it’s quite simple) but I think it would do great as a city guide. Here it is: http://demo.wpzoom.com/expedition/. I would really appreciate it if you could do a review about it. Thanks in advance.

  15. I have tried most of these, and as has been said – they never seem to do all of what is required.

I often get jobs to build directory / event / job sites.

So now – I but a decent theme that does the job of one (or none) of the above, then add-in plugins. More often than not, a premium plug will do a better job than the crappy CPT that these themes throw in there.

Directory by AIT : Looks good on the box. A nightmare to set up – but the deal breaker is their complete defiance to add in front-end submissions. Their alternative is ‘Easy Admin’. BS!! What do you go to a premium site and enter a directory submission, but get taken to what looks like a different site. Better I suppose than the fact you were previously directed to wp-admin of all placed. But still.

I have always found AppThemes products robust, and easy to configure. Sure they lack a little functionality here and there – but nothing in comparison to the other. My main gripe is that they are let down by design. Every time I start a new site using one of their products – guaranteed I will purchase a child theme. I simply don’t like their default ‘glossy, rounded, 2005 look’.

  16. Hi there, thanks for this great resource page. I was just wondering, are there any themes that have the option on your mobile device when the address pops up to click on directions? I know when i use google maps I have this option when I see an address, but having viewed almost every single one that you mentioned from my phone, none of them seem to have this option?

Seems like this is an obvious thing to have but maybe it requires some additional coding?

  17. I think over the past few years I have used most of the themes in this review as I search for that “perfect” them for an upcoming project I have planned. Bottom line is that there is no “Perfect” theme, there is no theme out there does everything. Find a theme that does most of what you are looking for and move forward with it. I narrowed my final choices down to Directory by Templatic and Apptheme’s Vantage using there Directory Child Theme. The best choice for me was Apptheme.

Do your homework, most of the themes now offer trials and if they don’t send them a nice friendly email and ask if they would work with you. Oh and by the way, great review.

    Bob Fleege

  18. Anyone used the one from directory engine?
I like the style, and admin also looks create but is’t pretty new so i don’t know if there are a lot of bugs in it.

  19. I launched a site with the businessfinder theme. It’s doing its job alright so far, no major bugs. A lot of backend styling and widget options, the map is loading very fast compared to other themes I elaborated. The “responsiveness” is a bit weak but working. (I am not associated with the developers)

  20. I have used quite a few of these themes and, like others have said, it’s very hard to find the “perfect” one.

That being said, I would like to comment on a few.

I have quite a few themes from Appthemes, including Vantage. In the beginning, Appthemes was great, but it seems that they lost one of their key coders, and since then releases have been pushed back and pushed back and pushed back. One of their scripts that was supposed to come out last December is still not out, and is scheduled for “Fall 2014”, but I am guessing it will be pushed back again.

The one that I’ve found that has worked best for me is DirectoryPress (which I don’t see listed here). Although it doesn’t have the best features and looks, it is very configurable. The best part is that you can set up an unlimited number of packages, and the packages include single listings as well as “membership” listings.

Still looking for the “perfect” one though…that’s why I’m here. 🙂

    1. Hi Bryan,

      Thanks for your comment.

‘DirectoryPress’ was on the list, but under the name ‘Directory Theme’, as this is what it is called on the PremiumPress website. The theme looks like it’s had a facelift since we last looked at it, and taking your experience into account as well, we’ve moved it up the list.

When I was on the PremiumPress site I noticed that they are due to release a new business directory theme at the end of this month (September). Should be a good one!

    2. Hi Bryan,

Thanks for the comments and being an AppThemes customer! We’ve actually had four Vantage releases so far this year (last one in July) so development certainly hasn’t stopped.

Lots of great Directory themes listed here and funny enough, we’ve had several of our customers migrate over from DirectoryPress due to a poor experience. I’m glad it’s working out for you, though.

  21. How can a theme like spot finder be displayed for sale? Some of them might look good but they will never function. They are not directories in use, with very low traffic, yet you need 5 seconds for a page to change, now imagine traffic and thousand of listings. Start advertising themes that are well built, don’t scam people into buying useless junk.

    1. Hi Colin,

It is absolutely not our intention to scam anyone. It is our understanding that Directory (the SpotFinder parent theme) has been tested with up to 100k listings with no problem. For us at least, the page speeds are reasonably quick. But I appreciate what you’re saying and can assure you that if we receive reports from actual users that the theme cannot cope with real-life situations we will remove it from the list.

On another note, I couldn’t help but notice that you are using Vantage by AppThemes for your directory site. How have you found that?

  22. Is there any directory listing template available that allows booking or reservation? Anything that comes with built in android app?

  23. Hi – Great line up of directory themes – Thanks for this detailed line-up.

I am already own a Directory website using GeoPlaces (by Templatic) and I’m looking to start another using a different theme as I’ve never been 100% happy with GeoPlaces. My first option would be Directory Theme (by Templatic), but it’s the issue with having to customise too many core theme files that puts me off (Upgrading the theme & plugins will be a nightmare).

GLocal Theme (on Themeforest.com) looks great and a detailed review of this theme would be appreciated. I am seriously considering the NEW Business Directory theme by Premium Press due to it supporting numerous payment gateways.

And lastly, to answer the last poster… NOPE; none of the directory themes out there (that I know of) included a booking or reservation system. This is a feature I have been looking for too.

  24. Hi i need some help i want to change my blog into a directory style theme to do events and restaurant listing can someone help me choose the best? kinda stuck here. money income adsense only no premium listing.

  25. Hi,
I bought Business Finder theme -AIT, i am using this theme for last 6 months. I was trying to change the custom post types but i could not able to do, because they are using framework to built this theme . Nette/Latte/Wplatte, all these things are framework, have you heard this before?

If you want to change anything, you need specialist who knows these framework. I am sure you cant find out anyone who know these framework. Better to go other themes who don’t use complex framework in their theme.

Also this is my advice for future directory buyers that, please double check with theme seller about the development environment. If they use any framework like Nette/Latte/Redux please don’t buy that themes. Buy only if they use default wordpress functionality for their theme.

    Good Luck !!!

  26. An awesome, very useful list. Thanks for compiling.
I’m trying to setup a multistore/multivendor site using the Dokan plugin. Has anyone integrated Dokan with any of these business directory themes?

  27. Thanks for compiling this list. It’s a little overwhelming. Curious if anyone has combined a local directory with “deals” functionality, and if any of these themes come with that capability (allowing front end deals/coupon submissions) out of the box. Thanks!

  28. Hello,

I’m looking into making a business directory for child care centers in my state. This site will also include summer recreation programs, after-school programs and community events. My question is which site is the most customizable to include an event calendar that can be update by the businesses? It would be nice to make payment arrangements for these community advertisements as well.

  29. Hi, I read somewhere recently about a directory plugin that searches the web for data relating to your listings. Anyone know of this plugin?

  30. Thanks for this list. 🙂 Great place to start with the topic …

Having followed some links and read all the key selling arguments presented, I’m still not sure which one would be the best option to run a website with having addressed the following topics
    – *real* usable mobile and desktop (approach: mobile first; some products are very poor on mobile)
    – narrow band data connection ready; user will not always be connect with broadband
    – performs with 25k data entries as a minimum still user friendly (server upgrades will not always solve the problems; high quality coding and low data volume interactions are preferred
    – flexible import/export due to 25k data entries to be migrated

any hint and/or recommendation shared is highly appreciated? 🙂

    Thanks in advance,
    /Cipo

  31. Hello, I recently bought DIRECTORY THEME from PremiumPress. It is quite easy to use with many interesting features and their support is near to great and forum really busy (many users). However, it has a few drawbacks. Two things here:
    1) The Google map on homepage is good but not much customisable. And, it only shows 100 listings at max (PP is working on that they say). Also, there are a few themes supporting “map pin from address only” (METRODIR and GLOCAL for example, however not sure about their support) while PP needs to have the exact Google coordinates. So, if you don’t have the Google coordinates your listings maps won’t be shown.
    2) Other directory themes seem to handle LISTING RESTRICTED CONTENTS better. You have got many settings in PP but if you want to blind let’s say EMAIL to non-registered users it won’t show the EMAIL field at all. Other themes show the EMAIL field (blind only parts of the email address), if you are a not registered user a little pop-up will suggest you to subscribe. This features obviously encourages new users to sign up at your site.
Just a few thought … basically the DIRECTORY THEMES works well for me.

  32. hi,
you listed the price of atlas directory and listings theme for $50, but i clicked the link to purchase, the price at envato goes up to $58.
so which is which? and why the discrepancy?

  33. Hi. This post is really informative, thanks! A quick question. I want a theme that isn’t focused on geography, so the map isn’t necessary. But I do want great functionality for users to add their own product listing and have others (non users) give them a star rating. Is there a particular theme you would suggest I look at for that?
    Thanks!
    Jo

  34. Thank you very much for such an interesting article. But I need your help, I can’t decide which theme to purchase. My requirements are:
    1. Front-End & Back-end listing for Admins
    2. Business Listings can be free / paid
    3. Business can claim a listing and can change accordingly.
    4. Business can add/change listing to featured after payment.
    5. Business can add/change promotions in their listing (Either free / after payment.)
    6. Obviously review and rating be allowed by visitors.

If anyone can suggest me, I’ll be very grateful.

  35. anyone know if any of these options has native IOS and Android applications so users would install the app for consulting places or listings?

  36. Hey,
Thanks for this great list! I’m looking to build a website which is based on my own personal reviews – do you know of any directory style themes that include the ability for authors to post their own review/ star rating?

Essentially I need something with a Google Map near me search, as well as the ability to sort by ratings – except I do the ratings myself. It’s like searching for a unicorn! Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂

    Thanks

  37. Hi there, don’t suppose anyone could tell me if I’m looking in the right area for a UK wide accomodation listings site? (I realise the competition before anyone comments, I’ve got a niche area.)
I only need to have 2 or 3 listing categories (accommodation and related venues), and within these will need a search tool for users to identify types and locations.
Each person subscribing will have a page to show what their accommodation offers, photos, link to own website.
The option for free listings as well as paid/premium/featured and ad space.
It would be great to have a map somewhere with location pins for the 2 main categories – to easily see where the locations are in relation to eachother.
Not sure if a directory is the right thing?
I would need to have the ability to accept payments.
I’m a complete novice and non-techi by the way, if anyone does have any suggestions I would be extremely grateful.

  38. Hi!

I am looking for a directory specialized to show the GPS location of local business, any suggestion?

I had never used before wordpress just Joomla, but I found few options so I decided to give a chance to WP

    Thx!

  39. Hi, does anyone know of a directory theme or plugin that will allow location-based AND online businesses to show up in the same results? For example, if my reader in NYC is looking for a sleep consultant. They don’t care if it’s someone who has an office in Brooklyn or who is in Oklahoma and only does Skype sessions. They want to see all the sleep consultants available to them and their reviews. Which directory application will allow me to get all the NYC-based AND the online professionals to all come up when she searches “Sleep Consultants in NYC”. Been having a really hard time finding a solution for this, I am surprised in this day and age it doesn’t seem to be featured in any of these solutions.
